I am in awe of not only your layout, but also of your photography. I am 5 years from retirement and model RR'ing will be my main goal for filling my time. The scope of which will be determined by the blasted "markets" at that time. I plan on modeling the CB&Q Burlington Division just at the transition from steam to diesel. This includes the yards and humps at Galesburg and yards at West Burlington. My track plan as it stands is rather ambitious. However, your layout is a true inspiration. As my British associates would say, "You really deserve a clap."
